JOB OVERVIEW
Rove’s Human Resources Manager will be a critical part of an agile team committed to building and supporting our culture of integrity, transparency, and individual empowerment. In this role, you will strategize, execute, and support all Rove team human resources for our growing workforce.
A successful candidate will be detail-orientated, collaborative, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. The role will report directly to the CEO and Chairman in lieu of our COO, who will be hired later.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Coordinate human resources and office administrative activities related to Rove’s personnel with support from our third-party HR Provider.
Support recruitment needs to include the following:
Coordinating the drafting of job descriptions with various hiring managers across the organization.
Ensures internal stakeholders approve recruitment advertisements for distribution.
Coordinates and schedules interviews with candidates as needed.
Coordinates preparation & extension of offer letters as needed.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting paperwork needed, partnering with HR providers, establishing office needs, and notifying internal resources.
Serve an advocate and support for compliance and safety training needed for department leads.
Serve as an onsite HR representative for all future locations' career fairs, as needed.
Understand and research programs to address critical CA Human Resources policies.
Work with brokers and HR Providers to develop and implement all systems needed to manage staff health benefits through the company’s HRIS.
Assist with forecasting workforce needs as the company grows, and work with partners to identify, negotiate, and manage the implementation of third-party services in collaboration with our third-party HR services and leadership as needed.
Own payroll monitoring and needs for our exempt and future non-exempt workforce, i.e., timecards, bonus pay-outs, commissions, pay increases, etc.
Answer questions from prospects and existing teammates regarding benefits, payroll, and policies.
Document staff changes and team communications related to benefits, procedures, and regulated training.
Submit and monitor expenses for department expenses.
Liaison with department vendors, platforms, and agencies to deliver on core performance metrics for the HR department in partnership with leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organization development, business, or related areas; relevant work experience may be a substitute.
5+ years of progressive HR work experience
HR Certification from an accredited organization is a plus!
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Experience in California labor issues is a must.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Experience with human resource information systems (HRIS).
Knowledge of a broad range of human resources and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and procedures in compliance with employment regulations.
Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
